Good habits beat willpower every time. Here is how to embed them in your child daily life without lectures.

1. Start small

One new habit at a time. Once it is automatic, add the next.

2. Anchor habits to existing routines

“After breakfast, we read for 10 minutes.” Linking new habits to old ones makes them stick faster.

3. Make it visible

A simple sticker chart or fridge magnet calendar shows progress and builds momentum.

4. Model the behaviour

Kids copy what they see. If you want them to read, let them catch you reading.

5. Celebrate consistency

Missing one day does not break a habit. Praise the return to routine.
